Full Circle
Here I am, one year later. I have learned a lot in these months about the human experience, high school, life, and the internet. I have spent the summer striving for my dreams, and the next school year should give me some of the experience and knowledge I need to reach them. To anyone (for some reason) still reading this, remember that the only thing keeping you from your goals is you. To quote my late grandfather, "You can have anything you want if you want it badly enough and are willing to do what it takes to get it. If you don't get it, you didn't want it badly enough and it's your own fault, no one else's."

Completing the Transition
Recently I was asked about remaining in the dorms for the remainder of the year. I was excited by the idea and accepted. The higher-ups at school talked it out and I am officially a boarder now, full time. I still haven't quite wrapped my head around that yet. Still, I'm very happy about the change.
On a side note, if all you're going to write in the comments are insults and libel, don't even bother. It's a waste of your time and mine. Either read it and comment in appreciation or don't read at all.

Doing the Impossible
Impossible. The unachievable, the unbelievable, the unimaginable. Here I am to say: There are some impossible tasks. When somebody told you 'anything is possible', somebody was sadly misinformed. Not everything is possible. For example, jumping out of a plane mid-flight sans parachute and walking away. Impossible. But, there are many things that are considered impossible, but are merely improbable. Like making the perfect omelet: Unlikely, but certainly rewarding when you succeed. Finally, there are things never before considered, which are then thought by others to be impossible, insane, or both. Like carjacking the Pope-mobile (yes there is a Pope-mobile), or walking the full length of Route 66. I have considered both these, many have called them impossible AND insane, but I will do them both nonetheless, and when I succeed, remember this: When deciding if something is impossible, remember that there some things that are indeed impossible. If that thing you are considering is not, have at it. If it is, try something else.

Valentines
Ah, young love.
Where would we be without it? Seriously, the human race would've died out log ago. Still, I think Valentine's Day is a little much. For those of you not caught up, look up my 'Holidays' rant. For the rest of you, back to business. Valentine's Day is where sales in chocolate, flowers, Hallmark cards, jewelry, and lingerie all soar, in the name of romance. Why? for love, or more precisely, lust. The basic drive to continue your name and add another branch on the family tree (or just a drunken hookup with a stranger met in a bar). That drive exists without romance, so why bother? This is why Valentine's Day seems like a bit too much to me. It's a day needlessly celebrating a base instinct we all share 24/7, 365. But still, the spirit in which it is intended is nice, so I guess it isn't so bad. Happy Valentine's Day, everyone.

Commenting
Wow. Recently I decided to go through my comments, and found an astounding variety. From lavishing compliments to hints at my implied homosexuality about as subtle as a taser to the spine, I can tell a lot about my readers. Some thoroughly enjoy my work (for some reason), some find it boring, and some find it (and i quote) 'GAAAAAAAY'. So there are happy people, bored people, and assholes (AKA trolls). To my fans, keep reading, I appreciate it. To all the trolls and haters, go violate a flaming cactus.

Solitude: Not A Group Activity
Even as I say this I know it makes me sound like some sort of tight-lipped introvert loner, but companionship is over-rated. The need for validation from other human beings is one easily overcome. Every person is, and can be, an island. Remember that. I am not saying to spend all of your time alone or trying to be, but just don't slave after the presence of people. Friends are nice, family is better, but solitude is top. No matter the kind of friends you have or how close-knit your family is, you will always be stuck with you. so get used to it.

Exam time...Oh Man
Ah, exams. That wondrous time of year when anyone in school still riding a Christmas high promptly gets punched in the stomach by the universe. When every single nugget of information buried in your locker, squished in your book-bag, or scribbled hastily on a note card becomes more vital than regular meals. It's right around this time that I start to think 'Man, I'm glad I paid attention. Oh #$%&! My tests are only a week away! I need to study!' Someone once told me that all is fair in love and testing. In retrospect, it was probably a teacher. Oh well, here's to desperation, panic, and plea-bargaining for pencils.
